Wear HQ has done a wonderful feature on the beautiful and amazing Eva Rose Lane, we worked together a month back and collaborated ideas to bring forth creative and colourful images for your eyes to behold!

Some months back I assisted on a very exciting shoot in South London’s infamous lavender field. The shoot was called ‘colourful coats’ and it has hit the stands of London today and only today unfortunately! However for all you international kids I’m proud to present my very first accomplishment to you all! I was published in ‘The mail on Sunday‘   The Daily Mail for the rest of the week lol, and inside that is YOU magazine proudly presents the ‘colourful coats’ shoot w in a FIVE PAGE SPREAD! I’ve been counting down the days waiting anxiously for today and it’s finally here.

Saturday there was an event called the ACS Kings and Queens event, sponcered by MTV once again, there were quite a few models so we were called down on that disgusting hot day at 1pm. Surprise surprise we were’nt needed until 6ish, so we wasted all day there just mucking around. On our lunch break tho me and Hollie (Best friend/makeup artist) saw a petshop on our way to the Oceans Music arena where it was held, so we decided to run to tesco, grab some munch and look at the pets. I don’t recomend going into petshops unless u’ve got money on you, it’s TOO damn hard walking away empty handed. We say a sign that said they had kittens so we thought we’d ask. Hollie got the most gorgeous stripped tabby, he’rs is a month older but sooo cute and SO play

ful, it’s AWESOME. I got a cute but slightly timid black and white kitten! it took it a few days to warm up to its new surroundings but its been almost a week now and it wants to play with ful force! Toy of choice: Shoe lace lol. I named mine Ling Ling, after that pokemon type character in ‘Drawn Together’  and now to introduce the world to mah kiat!

I may have been granted entry to the magical wonderful world that is Scribbledwall only yesterday, but, I am going on holiday tomorrow for a week to Ireland so I feel I should do a quick post to share some funnies with you! You know, to tide you over till I get back!

So let’s get started then!!

Do you remember all that hoo-hah about the mosquito tone? No? Well, it was that high pitched noise that only youngsters could hear and businesses were using it as a deterrent to keep teenagers from loitering near their shops. Want to see if you’re a young ‘un or an old fogie? Check it out here! I personally can hear them all but the 18kHz one (the highest one) is just averagely audible to me whereas the rest are loud as hell! And I know it works because as I was testing it out, I clicked on the 18kHz one and just about heard it and my younger sister (sitting across the room, may I add) shouted at me for playing something so ear-piercing!!

As we are having some crystal weather at the moment, as much as I hate the heat and the sun as a pale freckly girl, I feel I must take moment to think of the real sufferers in this weather. Goths. This blog, aptly named ‘Goths In Hot Weather‘, chronicles them in photo form as they cope in the hot, sunny, summer months, rating them on ‘Gothiness’ and ‘Sweatiness’.

This is my terrible attempt at an introduction, I’ve never been good at introducing myself. I’m seriously considering looking for my Year 11 tutor profile so I can just quote what my tutor Mr Lewis said.

Hmm. Well, I’m a kooky one.  You’ll learn that one quick. I am an enigma wrapped in a conundrum, wrapped in a pretty, pale and freckly skin.

I’m a photographer and astronomer but lack both a crazy camera and telescope, but I know exactly what ones I’d get if I had the money! I make do with my little camera and super binoculars! I love stars, both the space kind and the spiky drawn ones. You should check out this NASA website. Everyday they put up a new space related photo. 

I <3 Nintendo. I <3 Yoshi. I <3 games. I’m a girl gamer and when I feel crap, I will retreat to my room and play some Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on my N64 or Pokemon on my NDS. Also, I do enjoy the MMORPG wonder that is World of Warcraft. For the Horde!!!

 Hmm, what else… I like cake and biscuits and anything generally cakey or biscuity. Muffins, cheesecake, custard creams, christmas cake, Jaffa Cakes, doughnuts, sponge, gateux, chocolate digestives, cookies…. The list could go on. Now I’m hungry.

It’s taken me far too long to type this. So I will leave you with a pic that makes me happy. I <3 LOLcats.  Yaaaay. Expect more randomness in the very near future!! Rawr.

Seriously? I’m a sucker for detail but I found myself trying to linger a little longer on each page than needed admiring the art work by Lee Bermejo. He’s a legend for all artists to aspire to be like. He captures the insanity yet also the rare moments of calm and just in Joker perfectly, along with the very graphic gore, guts and grit in the graphic novel. Joker is being released from an insane asylum only to discover his share of Gotham city has been cut up and sold off amongst his fellow criminals. Joker is back, with a smile on his face but no one is laughing, his spares not a second to remind everyone of his twisted deminure. Accompanied with Jonny Frost his ex criminal accomplice they set out to get what is Jokers back with a vengeance.

Without giving too much away its truly amazing, I couldn’t put it down, the artwork is stunning, the clear and its nature beautifully messed up and gives us rare insight into Jokers head without him narrating it.

Remember those days where you’d watch Ren&Stimpy glued to the TV, with your parents in the back in disgust over how much brilliant attention they pay on those still close ups of someone’s snot filled nostril. Well cry no more! Put your box sets away! This generations replacement is finally here, flicking through cartoon network everyone in a while I find a program so marvellous I find myself quoting it all the time. Like Fosters home for imaginary friends, come on! An egotistically mean and self ridiculous blu blob that makes everything revolve around his high pitched antics. Awesome. So what’s this new fanciful replacement you say? It’s The marvellous misadventures of flapjack! Generally a 2D animated show its got few elements of 3D that give it that edge for our new generation of kids. AND I! It’s a show based around the cute little blonde boy flapjack, that lives inside his mother’s mouth, his mother being a giant blue whale alongside his misguided pirate companion. With a few elements of Ren and Stimps quiry humour and odd stills you’ll fall in love fast. Its strangely themed shows leave you baffled bu knawing for more! I can’t praise it enough, but do go check it out!

After having nothing to eat all day aside a packet of crisps, relentless and a doughnut on my behalf (my friend had a PHAT breakfast) we arrived back at mine very late. Pigged out on mommies good food and sunk into the worlds most comfortable couches, huddled around a big tv and a laptop right infront of us. Both of us just unwinding to stand up comedy on tv, and inbetween commercials weird internet clips on youtube. We had about 4 doughnuts each in total and passed the rest onto my brother, his friend and my mom. lol we so nice! After all the comedy was done, and being on an exhausted sugar high we retreated back to our seperate beds until today… Where I just discovered we didnt actully get to choose 2 dozen of our own, we got the original deal after all… we just cant do simple maths! lol I only dissapoint myself!
